Fuels for Change, Inc. designs rail-first diversion programs for RIC #2 (HDPE) and RIC #4 (LDPE Film) plastics, emphasizing clean inputs, documented chain-of-custody, and water-secure handling, starting at high-risk landfills and commercial generators of low-value plastics.

We design and document our diversion programs in collaboration with railroads, drayage providers, and customers. We are not a common carrier or freight forwarder; thus, all freight services are provided by licensed transportation partners under their own operating authority.

  • Rail-Smart Logistics — Scheduled short-line pickups with documented Class I handoffs.
  • Quality & Traceability — Inspector-verified loads, contamination checks, documented weights and moisture.
  • Water stewardship — Repurposed wastewater for wash-down; minimal potable-water use.

Our Process

  • Intake & Verify — Clean, baled RIC #2 / #4 accepted by appointment; chain-of-custody and QA start on intake.
  • Rail-First Movement — Shipments move on a set cadence with recorded transfers across all rail partners.
  • Controlled Processing — Materials are managed at qualified facilities; processing specifics remain proprietary.
